Today the 2025-26 USA National Junior Team was announced, and OC Gold’s very own Chloe Teger was selected as a member being selected for performances last season in the 1500 mt free and Open Water. USA Junior Nationals went very well.Chloe Teger placed 3rd in the 1500mt free, 7th in the 800mt free and 13th in the 400mt free. Lucy Flynn placed 20th in the 800 mt free, 27th in the 400mt IM, 21st in the 400mt free and 29th in the 1500mt free. Oliver Gray swam the 50mt breast, 50mt fly, 100mt fly and 200mt fly but did not place. Finals were the top 32 places. Overall OC Gold was 32nd in the Women's scoring. Congrats to our swimmers
Congratulations to CHLOE and LUCY on qualify and competing at the USA OPEN WATER NATIONALS in Sarasota FL. CHLOE became the first member of OC GOLD to qualify for the USA NAtional Junior Team with her 2nd place finish!!! She will be representing the USA in upcoming competitions later this year. CONGRATS CHLOE! LUCY also competed and finished 22nd! Much improved over her last Open Water swim and swam it very well! CONGRATS LUCY!!!! SO PROUD OF YOU GIRLS!!!!!
Congrats to our Junior National and WAG swimmers. Many great swims at both meets. Hightlights were Lucy Flynn’s 200 breast at Junor Nationals qualifying for US Open, McKenzie Ryu’ and Adam Say’s all best times performances at WAG. Last but not least, Katie Dannenbring qualifying for Sectionals in the 200 Breast. Great job by all this weekend!
OC Gold Aquatics has been awarded the Bronze Medal for USA Swimming’s Club Excellence program. Club Excellence recognizes the best swim clubs in the USA through their achievements on the National and Regional level. OC Gold was recognized as the 150th strongest club in the country. OC Gold is the smallest club membership-wise on the list. It is a testament to the swimmers, coaches and parents for their hard work and dedication to GOLD! CLICK HERE to read more!
We had a great meet this weekend. A number of firsts. OC Gold had its first USA Nationals finalists this year who were 18 and Under. Lucy F. and Chloe T. both swam in Finals over the week and Chloe finished 6th in the 1500 making her the first A finalist in club history. Congrats to both of you! At the SAG meet, OC Gold had a great showing with many swimmers competing at the level for the first time and many swimmers qualifying for finals for the first time....
We had a great meet this weekend. Many compliments from visiting teams as well as some great swims by GOLD swimmers. In all, we had 17 new SAG cuts and 5 new swimmers qualify! Awesome!!! Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to make this a very successful meet. Congrats to Edmund B. who finished 6th in the 1500 free at the Sectional meet this weekend also!
Great job at the JAG Meet! Gold swimmers had a ton of best times and are rapidly improving. Many top 8 and top 16 swims. Congrats to Edmund B. on making his first Sectional cut in the 400 free and Daniel D. qualifying for another sectional cut in the 100 breaststroke. Next up, LA Invite.
